Until now, the University Library was only allowed to hand out copies from the collections of other libraries in paper form. Following an amendment to copyright law, this restriction no longer applies. From 1 February 2024, interlibrary loan articles will therefore be made available as PDFs.
The ordering process via the Passau search portal will remain the same (see interlibrary loan info page). If you have any questions, we can help you
by phone, email or at the Central Information Desk. As soon as the lending library has made the desired scans, you will receive a download link by e-mail. You can use this to download the interlibrary loan copies you have ordered and save them locally after authentication using your library ID.
In individual cases, it is possible that an article may still only be supplied in paper form for legal reasons. In such cases, we will inform you by e-mail when the item is available in the pick-up area of the Central Library.
