The current daily and weekly newspapers can be found in the newspaper trays in the Library Lounge on the upper floor of the Central Library. Editions from the past 12 months are stored in the closed stacks and can be requested from the Central Library's check-out desk.

Newspapers and journals on microforms
The University Library owns 242 newspapers and journals on microfilm or microfiche.
Special collection: The microfilm collection includes 131 newspaper titles from the 19th century, World War I and the Weimar Republic, as well as the German exile literature 1933-45 and newspapers from the German Democratic Republic.
