From 18 October.: Reading room desks without reservations and longer opening hours

| Reading time: 1 min.

In order to allow users to use the reading rooms more flexibly once again, we will discontinue the online reservation scheme for library desks on 18 October 2021. After the 3G check (vaccinated, recovered or tested) at the entrance, visitors to the reading room will again be able to go to one of the approved and marked desks. The number of desks remains reduced to allow users to take off their face masks while in the reading rooms. At the same time, the distinction between short visits and longer visits with reservation no longer applies.

Due to the easing of the infection control measures, the University Library will again make the group study rooms in the IM and Juridicum reading rooms available with the start of lectures. The corresponding desks as well as those in the Library Lounge of the central library must be reserved online in advance.

The University Library is extending its opening hours from 18 October as follows: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. / Weekends 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Computer Science and Mathematics reading room is closed on weekends.
