As of now, a new version of the reference management application Citavi is available for download. All University staff and students are eligible for a free site license.
What is new?
Several new features make it easier to work together in teams, using separate computers as Citavi projects can now be saved online in the cloud. Citavi teams will also profit from a chat function and the possibility to delegate tasks to different team members. You can find further information about the new features in the Citavi manual or you can watch the Citavi 6 introductory videos.
What is a Citavi Account?
The login to the Citavi account replaces the old procedure that required you to enter your license key. Forgot your password? You can reset your password by clicking the link in the login.
How does the transition from older versions to Citavi 6 work?
As of now, changing to the new version is possible. Your project data can be transferred. You can find everything you need to now regarding the transition in the manual’s overview. You can also continue working with Citavi 4 or 5 if you prefer to.
Citavi 6 in computer rooms and on chair/professorship computers
You will be able to install Citavi 6 on chair and professorship computers, as well as computers serviced by the ZIM in the next few weeks. You will find Citavi 6 by clicking Start > Alle Programme > RZ-Installationen > Literaturverwaltung.
