You need to log on to InfoGuide with your library user number and password to access the order and account functions (requests, reservations, renewals and interlibrary loan requests) or to do a literature search using one of the workstations in the reading rooms. You can also check the loan periods, renew your loans or change your InfoGuide password.
To change your password in InfoGuide, navigate to Account > User details and click on the Change password tab or follow this link:
Library user number
The library user number is printed on the reverse of the CampusCard or the green library card. It is an 11-digit number starting with 064 (CampusCard/library user card).
Please note that your library user number is not the same thing as the ZIM username, which is required for logging onto the university’s WiFi and other systems, and is only given to staff and students of the University.
When you first log on, and until you change it, your password is your date of birth written as a 4-digit number in the DDMM format. For instance, if 22 April is your birthday, your password is 2204.
You can change your password in InfoGuide. Passwords must have at least 4 and at most 12 characters; umlauts and special characters are not allowed.
To change your password in InfoGuide, navigate to Account > User details and click on the Change password tab.
If you forgot your password, you can request a new one by following the ‘Forgot password?’ link in InfoGuide under Account > User details.
- You will then be sent a new password to your registered e-mail address.
- Alternatively, you may talk to library staff at the information desks of the Central Library or at the borrowing desk of the Bavarian Regional Library Passau. You will need to show your student ID or library card when requesting a new password in person. (If you only have a library card, you should also provide photographic ID).
