You can reserve most items that are currently on loan in InfoGuide. Once these items are returned, you will find them listed in your user account with the status 'ready for collection'. Reserved items that are ready for collection will be kept in the Central Library's collection area for seven working days.
Please note the following:
- When you request a book from the stacks, you can indicate whether you want to collect it from Central Library's collection area or the check-out desk of the Bavarian Regional Library.
- Books from the textbook collection (shelf marks starting with 17) are always sent to the relevant reading room for pick-up.
- Reference books from the reading room collection which are on interlibrary loan can be reserved. Reservation forms can be found at all check-out or information desks. Please submit the completed form to the interlibrary loans (sending) office, room 012a, during office hours (workdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.). You can also send the form by internal mail. The interlibrary loans office will then initiate a recall.
An e-mail notification is sent once a reserved item is ready for collection.
Before you make a reservation, please check within InfoGuide and on the shelves whether there are additional copies of the desired item. Also, consider whether a different edition that is available locally might suit your needs.
